During the summer, southern Arizona temperatures can reach in excess of 115 degrees. Nothing cools you down more than floating down the river on a kayak, canoe or even an inner tube. Here at Arizona Adventures, we offer multiple floatation devices that area available for your leisure.
If you’re looking for a convenient activity for the whole family or large groups, we offer the “All American Float-Down.” We provide a shuttle to and from the river, tubes for everyone, and floatable coolers. All of this can be enjoyed for a mere $10 a person. There is a minimum of 6 people required for the float down and we also require a 24 hour reservation prior to the event to let our staff prepare the necessities. Typical float downs last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the flow of the Colorado River.
Canoeing and kayaking promise a great opportunity to explore the natural habitat surrounding the Colorado River and local lakes. Arizona Adventures rents canoes, fishing kayaks, single and tandem kayaks. Canoeing and kayaking are both exceptional ways to fish hard to reach areas. These are all great options for a more intimate experience with the water.
