Readiness & Deployment Support (RDS) Programs provide knowledge & skills to military personnel and their families to enhance unit and family readiness.

 

PRE-DEPLOYMENT BRIEFS

Designed to guide Marines and family members through deployment preparation, issues, and provide information on important resources.

KIDS-N-DEPLOYMENT WORKSHOP

Engages children in activities to help them successfully cope with the unique circumstances of deployment. The Kids-N-Deployment Workshop takes place at the same time and location as the Pre-Deployment Brief.

RETURN & REUNION BRIEFS

Prepare military family members for the adjustments of reunion and reintegration.

KIDS-N-REUNION WORKSHOP

Gives children the tools necessary to successfully adjust to the return of a deployed parent. The Kids-N-Reunion Workshop takes place at the same time and location as the Return and Reunion Brief.

FAMILY CARE PLAN

Designed to educate Marines and their families on the importance of a Family Care Plan, mandatory for all Marines with dependents.

IN THE MIDST WORKSHOPS

Typically unit-specific and can focus on a variety of topics. They are designed to promote the importance of taking care of oneself, communication skills, and becoming part of your community in the midst of deployment.

SPA NIGHT: SELF CARE

Participants are able to recharge and relax with an interactive spa experience featuring do-it-yourself activities like creating bath salts, assembling flip-flops, and receiving a manicure. Participants will learn about managing stress and will gain knowledge of important resources.

SELF DEFENSE: SAFE & SOUND AT HOME

Participants learn to identify potential safety threats and utilize basic self-defense moves in an emergency situation.

Additional workshops are available based on unit/squadron request and resource availability.
