The Lifelong Learning Center (LLC) provides professional voluntary education services for all military personnel, their family members and installation activities. Our goal is to assist all clients in a friendly, courteous, professional manner, with a positive attitude and a sincere willingness to help .
The U.S. Marine Corps Voluntary Education Program provides active-duty service members the opportunity to reach their educational goals. They can complete their high school education, earn an equivallency diploma, improve their academic skills or level of literacy, and enroll in vocational and technical schools. They can also receive recommended collete credit for military training and experience based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Guide to the Evaluation of Non-Traditional Learning Experiences in the Armed Forces, take tests to earn recommended college credits, complete an apprenticeship in a trade, and enroll in post secondary education programs that lead to associate's, bachelor's, graduate and post graduate degrees.
The LLC is staffed by trained counselors capable of providing academic counseling and college test proctoring to adult family members, authorized civilians (Civil Service and Contracted base employees), and retirees on educational programs. We also provide testing services to active duty to include DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support), Armed Forces Classification and proctoring. |
