11th Annual Old Fashioned Family Picnic Saturday, April 26, 2008. 10am - 2pm Ramada Field, MCAS Yuma Annually, this event is held in April to celebrate the month of the Military Child. throughout the month, the military takes the opportunity to recognize the special challenges children in a military family face and acknowledge their important role in the military community. Lots of fun, games and music! Bring your own blanket, chairs and sunscreen. This year's event offers lunch consisting of hot dogs, hamburgers and chips. Oasis Pool Opening Oasis Pool will be open for lap swimming Monday, May 5th from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Pool will open Saturday, May 24th for open swimming from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Regular pool hours are as follows: Mon - Fri Lap swimming: 6:00am - 7:00am, 11:00am - 1:00pm, and 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Open swim times are 1:00pm - 5:00pm Mon - Fri and 11:00am - 7:00pm Sat & Sun.

MCCS Yuma's 1st Annual Desert Dog Duathlon Saturday, May 17 at 8:00am - Ramada Field Run, bike, and run again! Compete for $75 first place male or female. Refreshments will be provided. Rules: 1. Biking helmets are mandatory (must be worn as purchased with chin straps buckled at all times when on bicycle). 2. Minimum age of participation is 15 yrs. 3. Maximum course time is 2 hrs. 4.
