POSITION: LIBRARY AIDE , NF-1411-01
Flexible (0-40 hrs/wk) Salary: $6.90-$7.50 per hour
LOCATION: Marine Corps Community Services, Library
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Current NAFI employees aboard MCAS, Yuma and all qualified outside applicants.
DUTIES: Performs one or more of the following: shelving books; performing simple circulation and reference duties; providing assistance to patrons and other members of library staff; charging out library materials; discharging library materials on return; maintaining record of overdue books; and preparing notices to borrower to return overdue library materials. Responsible for maintenance of rules concerning use of the library. Performs a variety of clerical and manual library tasks.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS: Must have knowledge of library rules and procedures. Must be able to comprehend and execute a numerical arrangement, including numbers carried out two to three decimal places. Must have the ability to operate library equipment such as a typewriter, computer, etc. Six months of experience is preferred.
