POSITION: DESK CLERK , NF-1173-01
Flexible (0-40 hrs/wk)
Salary: $7.50 per hour
LOCATION: MCCS, Business Operations Division, Temporary Lodging Facility
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Current NAFI employees aboard MCAS, Yuma and all qualified outside applicants.
DUTIES: Accepts reservations, registers guests ensuring they are authorized to use the Temporary Lodging Facility, and assigns rooms. Issues keys, calculates and posts all charges to guests account, presents statements, collets payments, maintains records, manually and/or on a personal computer. May be responsible for change fund. May answer telephone or operate telephone system and relays messages to guests. Receives, sorts and distributes mail. Advises manager of maintenance or guest problems and calls emergency maintenance if warranted. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS: Six months experience preferred. Ability to operate a computer to accomplish related desk work. Knowledge of basic cash handling techniques. Must be able to interpret complicated and varied instructions as they apply to the operation of the Temporary Lodging Facility.
